ADHD+
I can work with clients with ADHD as part of a traditional therapy journey or individually on their ADHD.
Last year I trained with Dr Kustow to achieve a certificate in Adult ADHD+. This allowed me to enhance the work I was doing with existing clients but also enables me to work with clients to focus on their ADHD and support them through the diagnosis and post diagnosis process.
Working with Adult ADHD+, exploring ADHD’s roots, myths, co-occurrence, dysregulation, and life impact; focusing on therapeutic methods that foster emotional regulation and resilience; and looking at lifestyle management alongside foundational coaching skills. The part I find most helpful for clients is looking at the 10 Domains of Dysregulation and mapping those out to give clients a better picture of the ADHD signature.
This supports adults with ADHD in achieving lasting, positive change.
This works well on its own but typically I find there’s lots of grief and anger surrounding adult diagnosis – it not being picked up as a child, not receiving support from their care system, childhood labels such as naughty, disruptive, messy, scatty, disorganised, emotional. Often leading to burnout out in adulthood. My qualification as a therapist means I can support with this side too.

Short Term Therapy

Open Ended Therapy
No deadline, it works to get to the root of the issue and is particularly useful for anxiety and depression and deeper exploration of childhood and how this interlaces with current challenges.
Where short term counselling/CBT/Time to Talk/NHS therpay may have failed open ended therapy is usually the next route.
